Finding Our Way In Yosemite by Learning Maps

On our first expedition, we learned how to orient ourselves using topographical maps.  We could see the steepness of mountians and the flow of rivers on our two-dimensional maps.  We followed a bearing using a compass and we arrived at our destination: Yosemite Falls!

We just returned from our first expedition for the 40-day course in Yosemite. The greatest lessons learned so far have been time management, staying focused, commitment, determination, and making sacrifices.
